Men of distinction aren’t formed due to beautiful speeches but due to their own hard work and its result.
Dear readers of monthly video newspaper ART NEWS,
It’s already November outside, a favorite period of winter holidays so beloved by many-many of us is coming very soon- grown-ups and children wait impatiently this time. But ART NEWS has already begun a period of holidays- just last week finished regular festival & contest of art AVE BOHEMIA. We won’t procrastinate and tell you with pleasure how it was this year.
Here you can have a look at a short video clip made from 2 DVD films with participants from the festival. email@example.com
As we have already started a holiday topic and our favorite winter ones, we offer you to join a lightening of a main Czech Christmas tree! According to tradition Prague Christmas tree gathers everyone at the end of November, just 4 weeks before the main Catholic holiday- Christmas.
This year a Christmas tree on an Old Town Square begins to sparkle at 5 pm on November 28. The same day Christmas markets are opened. By the way, did you know that the main Christmas tree is being chosen all over the Czech Republic? Anyone can participate and the main prize is 10.000 CZK!
We wish you a pleasant beginning of a pre-holiday period!
It’s not a secret at all that every festival AVE BOHEMIA is a holiday first of all! Preeminently for the participants. Those who came first time worry and dream to show what that can at once. Those who participate for the 2nd time it’s even more responsible moment- the jury evaluate what they have learned from the last show.
So many moments we’d like to share with those who didn’t see the festival with their own eyes! Where shall we start? Let’s start with those who had to solve out complex tasks- to choose the best from so notable participants. Our jury!
This year the festival was held for the 8th time which means it became quite adult and the jury was a match:
Anna Shchekaleva (teacher and choreographer, ballet soloist in the National Theater, Prague)
Viktoria Vrublevskaja (ballet soloist in the first multi medial theater in Prague Laterna Magica)
Ilya Lerner (director, Honored Artist in Russian Federation)
Damir Basyrov (opera soloist in the National Theater, Prague; Honored Artist of Komi Republic, Russian Federation)
A contest day began at 10 am and finished at 9 pm. The total number of presentations is 191. The total number of coffee cups which were drunk during the festival we couldn’t calculate.
Soloists made the jury happy because even 1 person on a stage(and occasionally there were so little ones) could hold the audience’s attention, ensembles amazed with their congruence and good choreography, and vocalists were good in their song choice. Famous hit songs of world known singers were presented.
If we try to tell you about each and every participant, a one year issue of our newspapers won’t be enough. Therefore we’ll mention that the largest category with the biggest number of participants this year was “Junior age category Classical Dance “(solo - women). This category we devided into 2 age groups- girls 7 to 9 and 10 to 12.
Laureates in “Junior age category Classical Dance” first age group became:
Laureates in “Junior age category Classical Dance” second age category became: 1. Karolína Neumanová, leader Vlaďka Hrbková 2. Felicita Raščevska, leader Tālis Sils 3. Dominika Vacíková, pedagogue Tereza Krupičková
We’d like to note that during the 7 years of the festival Gran Prix was given only to 3 participants:

Yevgeny Frolov, vocalist, studio MIX, teacher Natalia Progonina (Prague, the Czech Republic)
